CAMHS and Foster Care Connect lead the way in supporting Foster Carers

Providing our Foster Carers with the skills and tools required to help support the behaviour of the children and young in their care is a top priority for Foster Care Connect. In November, as part of our Meeting the Health Needs Conference, the local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) delivered an interesting session around supporting behaviour.  This led to requests from Foster Carers to have a workshop based, case study led learning and development session.  Foster Carers, staff and CAMHS worked hard to plan what was a very successful day on Monday 20th June.  They were joined by Panel Members and together came up with an effective toolkit to help support behaviour.   Thanks to everyone who contributed to the day and especially to Kate and Helen from CAMHS for their expertise.
