Helping our children and young people connect safely.

Foster carers and staff attended the Scottish Internet Safety Summit in Edinburgh on 27th November.

The digital world progresses quickly and it is important that we have a good understanding of how we can help our children and young people be safe online. Digital literacy, the ability to use your digital skills competently, is something that all of us need to get better at and will be a huge part of our future.  Being aware of the risks and potential dangers can help us to guide our children and young people to make the right choices.

The day was full of information from a range of agencies including CEOP, Parentzone, Police Scotland, Young Scot, Education Scotland, Carnegie UK Trust and more.  Lots of learning to share and this will be delivered to everyone involved at FCC in due course.
