Foster Care Connect came together on Saturday 19th September to celebrate the achievements of everyone within the Agency. Fostering families, along with some of their children and young people, joined panel members, staff and friends in a wonderful afternoon of celebrations at Abbotsford House, Melrose. The sun was shining and the company was superb. We were thrilled to welcome Sara Lurie, Director of Fostering Network Scotland, to our celebration. Many people have commented on how ‘happy’ the event was.
On Saturday 26th September Foster Care Connect returned to Abbotsford, this time for an event exclusively for young people. Our young people enjoyed a day learning all about Sir Walter Scott and his amazing life. They took part in a poetry writing session, just like Sir Walter, and explored the grounds to learn all about the countryside. All good things must come to an end and our day finished with the Den Building Challenge. Every young person who attended should be so proud. What a fantastic day!
