Learning and Development is a big part of the support that we offer at Foster Care Connect. Foster carers come along to a number of different events, at different stages of their fostering career, but we also keep up to date with developments across the sector. We have themed months focusing on areas such as ‘Supporting Literacy’, ‘ACEs (Adverse Child Experiences) Awareness and ‘Supporting the Health Needs’ but we also provide needs related opportunities for our foster carers. All of these opportunities help to develop foster carers who are confident in their ability to support children and young people, helping them to achieve positive outcomes in life.
